Founded in 1875, our agency has grown over the years to address most of the challenges children, adults, families, and communities face across the lifespan, including substance use, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence/sexual assault, human trafficking, homelessness, juvenile justice, mental health, neighborhood distress, and poverty. Today, we offer 42 programs from 20 locations in east central Nebraska and southwest Iowa. THE OPPORTUNITY
Diverse therapeutic responsibilities that include assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, and trainings opportunities to fit within your schedule needs. Ability to work with a diverse population of clients with co-occurring disorders utilizing evidenced based practices. Compensation: $35.00 per hour for Provisionally Licensed, $45.00 per hour for Fully Licensed
Work Schedule: Part-Time Flexible Schedule (20 hours per week)
Locations: Council Bluffs, Logan, Glenwood, Omaha, Papillion
What You’ll Bring
You could be perfect for this opportunity if you’ve had at least two years previous related experience and a master’s degree in Social Work or related field. Additionally preferred licensure includes: CADC, PLADC, LADC, PLHMP, LMHP, LIMHP We are looking for someone who can build strong rapport with diverse groups, and who is exceptionally reliable, organized, detailed-oriented, and takes a trauma informed approach to engaging with clients. THE SKILL SET
Within 3 Months, You’ll
- Complete onboarding program designed to get you up to speed on our business, vision, departments, programming, and team and gain an understanding about how your role fits into Heartland Family Service’s broader organization mission and strategy.
- Attend new employee orientation training to learn the mission of the organization, how we are doing, where we are going, and our overall agency philosophy.
- Work with team and manager to understand work expectations and set goals for the first three months in the role
- Get to know our policies, procedures, and clinical tasks and processes
- Be introduced to and ramped to use Evolve (electronic health record).
- Partner with manager to define key success metrics for your role and how to keep track of your progress
- Shadow other team members
- Weekly supervisions with supervisor, monthly clinicals with therapists across the agency.
3- 6 Months, You’ll
- Continue to build a small caseload
- Continue to learn about programs across the agency
- Increase knowledge of clinical skills, theory, and practice
6 -12 Months Onwards, You’ll
- Move towards independent practice with consultation
- Conduct evaluations
- Provide on-going counseling to individuals, couples and families within a small caseload
- Establish a treatment plan with client participation, which specifies treatment structure, outcomes, goals and objectives
- Complete all documentation for grant, clinical and billing purposes and meet timeliness standards
- Meet with program supervisor and clinical supervisor for supervision
